Eueides vibilia occurs in the tropical Americas from Mexico to southern Brazil (Map). This species inhabits moist tropical forests from sea level to 800 m. It has orange wings with broad brown bands; the wingspan is ca. 60 mm. Adults spend most of the time in the forest canopy, and roost in loose groups at night. Caterpillars are gregarious and feed primarily on plants from the family Passifloraceae (e.g., Dilkea, Mitostemma and Passiflora spp.).
